The regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Indian commission on a trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation will take place on August 14, 2017 in New Delhi (India). The vice-chairman of Cabinet council, the Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov at a meeting of the Government which took place on August 10 reported on preparation for the forthcoming forum.
As it was noted in the report, the agenda of the forthcoming meeting includes questions of development of effective interaction in trade and economic, transport and communication, fuel and energy, chemical, pharmaceutical and other industries.
Special attention will be paid to implementation of the construction project of the gas pipeline of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India having important regional and international value.
One of the relevant directions of the Turkmen-Indian partnership is transport. In this regard, at the meeting the possibilities of a cooperation on the project of a transnational transit and transport corridor "North-South" with involvement of capacity of seaports of two countries and other states of the region and also the prospect of expansion of interaction in the sphere of air transport will be considered.
Having emphasized that Turkmenistan sees the important and reliable partner in India, the head of the state charged to provide the high organizational level of preparation for the regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Indian commission.
Today five meetings of Inter-governmental commission which activities are aimed at implementation of the agreements reached at the highest levels and the considerable potential of a bilateral cooperation in various industries have taken place.
