At the meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan which took place on August 10 the vice-chairman of Cabinet council M. Babayev reported on a situation in the supervised industries of energy industry. The vice-chairman reported about promotion of a number of large investment projects, and in particular, about the construction course in Balkan Region of a gas-chemical complex on production of polyethylene and polypropylene.
Having heard the report, the head of the state demanded to stir up activities for creation of modern productions for release of a wide range of products of the oil and gas-chemical industry demanded by domestic and foreign consumers.
As earlier it was reported, in June of this year the project on creation of the new plants and gas-chemical complexes which are planned for constructing in the next 10 years in various regions of the country was developed. Future entities are expected conversion of natural gas and release of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinylchloride, the liquefied gas, the caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, formaldehyde, rubber, polystyrene and other finished goods which is in great demand in the foreign markets.
Also further building-up of capacities of Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries and Seyidi oil refinery is planned that will provide further increase in production of gasolines and diesel fuel, demand for which in the next decades will steadily grow.
Now in the country with participation of foreign partners a number of the new plants of the oil and gas-chemical industry has been already built. In the seaside settlement of Kiyanly the Japanese-Korean consortium since 2013 has been conducting a construction of a gas-chemical complex on production of polyethylene and polypropylene. In the town of Ovadandepe in Ahal Region the Japanese-Turkish consortium since August, 2014 has been building the plant on conversion of gas and gasoline production of the A-92 brand (in compliance to requirements of Euro-5), diesel fuel and the liquefied gas.
In May, 2017 at Seydi oil refinery the LCH-35-11/1000 catalytic reforming unit was put into operation. It gave the chance to arrange production of a component of high-octane gasoline of the A-98 brand, extracted gasoline and the liquefied gas.
As expected, dynamic development of the oil and gas-chemical industry in our country will promote industrialization of regions, diversification of economy, building-up of release of import-substituting and export products.
