The Central Bank of Turkmenistan adopted new samples of banknotes from 1 to 100 manats

Central Bank of Turkmenistan adopted the modified samples of banknotes of 2017 nominal in 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 manat. Input of new banknotes is dated for opening of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts games which will take place on September 17, 2017.

The main addition on the face of banknotes which design and color are kept in the previous form is placement of a symbol of the Games "Ashgabat-2017".

The back of banknotes is decorated with relief images of the new capital international airport "Aşgabat halkara howa menzili", "TürkmenÄlem 52 °E" artificial satellite and also the architectural masterpieces of Ashgabat built in honor of upcoming games.

Increase in its protective elements became the distinctive feature of national currency of a sample of 2017. For example, the symbol of the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts games is executed by a special printing method. The nominal figure on banknotes of the 1 and 5 manat denomination is put with special optically variable paint, and on notes of higher nominal – in the form of a chessboard of the Dune by the new advanced Spark® Live paint. On the face of banknotes date of issue of the banknote and facsimile of the signature of the chairman of the board of the Central bank of Turkmenistan are specified.

These notes are obligatory to acceptance in the territory of Turkmenistan at nominal cost by all entities, the organizations and organizations irrespective of patterns of ownership and a field of activity in case of implementation of payments.

At the same time banknotes of the Central Bank of a sample 2009, 2012 and 2014 will continue to remain legal means of payment within Turkmenistan.
