For the first time in the history of the Asian indoor games and martial arts tournament in eSports has started

On the eve for the first time in the history of the Asian indoor games and martial arts Games "Ashgabat 2017" was launched competitions in eSports. As reported at the Executive Committee of the Games in the tournament will be held competitions in the most popular and challenging games in the world, including Dota II, Starcraft II, Hearthstone and King of Fighters XIV.

ESports makes its debut at the Games as a demonstration sport. The competition will last for three days, from 25 to 27 September, the final day of the Games "Ashgabat 2017".Presented at competitions, computer and video games test the skills of strategizing, decision-making and hand-eye coordination.

In the tournament at the brand new Games "the Ashgabat 2017" discipline involves eleven countries. Among them: Jordan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Mongolia, China, Laos, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Philippines and, of course, Turkmenistan.

The new President of Asian Confederation of eSports(Electronic Sports), Kenneth Fok, who was elected last week to held in Ashgabat, the General Assembly of the organization, said he intends to seek the inclusion of e-sports disciplines in the Olympic programme.

ESports is currently rapidly gaining popularity. It is included in the programme of the V Asian games in the closed premises and on fighting arts in Ashgabat as a demonstration sport. The winners in this sport, the medals will be awarded, but in the all medals standings these awards will not be counted.

Currently, negotiations are underway for the inclusion of eSports in the programme of the XVIII summer Asian games, which will be held next year in Jakarta (Indonesia).
