The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan will increase. As Trend reports, at the briefing in Baku, said the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan Mekan Ishankuliev.
“Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are strategic partners. This, of course, due to the fact that our countries, our peoples are historically linked by common culture, common traditions”, - said M. Ishankuliev.
According to the Ambassador, an important factor for cooperation between the two States is convenient, from a geographical point of view, the location.
“The trade turnover between our countries will grow. This is facilitated by the numerous joint projects in various fields, including energy and transport and logistics sector,” said M. Ishankuliev.
Speaking about the economic relations between the two countries, the Ambassador noted the significant role of the visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Azerbaijan on 8-9 August this year, the newspaper notes.
“During the visit, held talks at the highest level and in enlarged format, signed 14 documents, most of which were documents related to trade-economic interaction,” said Mekan Ishankuliev, stressing that it is extremely important unlimited possibilities of the two countries and the willingness of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan to expand cooperation.
Briefing at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan was held on the occasion of the proclamation by the UN General Assembly on 12 December the International day of Neutrality. The briefing was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan Mekan Ishankuliev, as well as the Consul of Turkmenistan Batyr Rejepov, reports Trend.
