Foreign Ministers of "the Caspian five" agreed upon all key provisions of the convention on the status of the Caspian Sea, work on which was conducted nearly 20 years, the text of the document is actually ready to signing by leaders of the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan at the summit next year, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, Interfax reports.
"With great satisfaction I declare that we found solutions on all key questions remaining open connected with preparation of this document. Actually the text of the convention is ready", - S. Lavrov at the press conference told following the results of the meeting of Foreign Ministers of "the Caspian five" in Moscow.
He noted that signing of the document shall take place at the fifth Caspian summit which is as follows in Kazakhstan to year. "We hope, in the first half it can be done", - the minister told.
S. Lavrov added that in the nearest future editorial completion of the convention, the translation into national languages and interstate preparation for signing in each of the countries will be carried out.
The Russian Foreign Minister also specified that the final decision on terms of holding the summit of "five" will be made by a management of Kazakhstan when technical and legal aspects of work on the document will have been complete.
