The March futures for oil Brent at 7:43, Moscow time, on 10 January has increased by 34 per cent (0,5%) to $69,16 per barrel. Brent exceeded $69 for the first time in may 2015, news Agency API reports.
Quotations of February contracts on oil WTI rose 50 cents (0.8%) and amounted to $63,46 per barrel, "Finmarket" reports.
Black gold on January 9 rose due to the expected further fall in fuel inventories in the United States. At the end of trading on Tuesday the price of the March contract for Brent crude on the ICE Futures exchange in London rose by $1,04 (up 1.5%) to $68,82 per barrel. February futures for WTI on the New York Mercantile Exchange jumped by $1,23 (2%) to $62,96 per barrel.
