Today the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Kuwait begins. Upon its completion, the head of Turkmenistan will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates.
During the upcoming talks in Kuwait and Abu Dhabi, the parties intend to discuss various aspects of bilateral relations, as well as current international and regional issues.
It is expected that the subject of interested discussion will be the diversification of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, including in the field of fuel and energy. Turkmenistan, Kuwait and the UAE have the largest hydrocarbon reserves in the world, which acts as a consolidating factor in the development and export of energy resources to international markets. There are great prospects for building up the partnership in such sectors as oil refining, gas chemistry, power engineering, chemical industry, transport, communications, etc.
Regular visits to Turkmenistan by representatives of the financial and business circles of the middle East countries confirm the growing interest in expanding the presence of Arab businesses in the promising Turkmen market, where a favorable investment climate for foreign companies has been created.
As a result of the summit meetings, it is planned to sign packages of bilateral documents aimed at intensification of Turkmen-Kuwaiti and Turkmen-Emirate cooperation.
