Natural gas will play a key role in the process of reducing harmful emissions and switching to renewable energy sources. This was stated in the communiqué of the G20 energy Ministers following their meeting in Argentina.
"We recognize that natural gas plays a key role in the energy supply in many of the G20 countries, and recognize the serious potential for a significant increase in its use in the coming decades, it will help to move to energy carriers with lower emissions of harmful substances, "the communiqué says.
"We aim to improve the functioning, transparency and competitiveness of the gas market — a market based on a strategic approach to the supply chain. This includes LNG and the construction of terminals to store it globally. We urge to expand the dialogue with the relevant international organizations on the more effective and flexible use of natural gas", — quotes the document Agency "Prime".
