The prospects of expanding the Turkmen-Turkish cooperation were discussed on Tuesday at the meeting of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the President of the Union of chambers and commodity exchanges of Turkey Rifat Hisarciklioglu. During the meeting, the guest confirmed the high interest of the Turkish business community in strengthening cooperation with Turkmenistan.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the agreements reached at the highest level, a solid legal framework, as well as the ties of friendship and historical and cultural community of the Turkmen and Turkish peoples serve as a reliable basis for effective cooperation between the two countries. In that context, it was noted that there was considerable potential for full cooperation.
The President of Turkmenistan and his guest exchanged views on the prospects of expanding bilateral trade, stimulating investment activity, and diversifying business partnership through the implementation of joint projects in various fields.
The participants of the meeting stressed that the activities of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission and the joint Business Council, as well as business forums and industry exhibitions contribute to the expansion of cooperation.
