The President instructed the Parliament to improve the laws on attracting investment in the country's economy

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke about the need to improve laws to attract both foreign and domestic investments in the national economy at an annual meeting with deputies of the Mejlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan, at which he outlined key vectors for the future work of parliamentarians for the near future.

The President called the formation of the legal basis of the Program of large-scale reforms, improvement of existing and adoption of new laws aimed at improving the efficiency of industries in a market economy, their active integration into the system of world economic relations, support for entrepreneurial initiatives of citizens, stimulation of investment activity, privatization and transformation of objects oа еру state ownership to joint stock companies.

“Attracting investments, including foreign ones, is the most important condition for the full implementation of this Program,” the head of state said. - First of all, it is necessary to improve laws providing for the creation of favorable investment, legal, financial and other conditions to attract both foreign and private capital investments, to encourage the creation of modern enterprises equipped with the latest technologies and capable of producing competitive products.

“We attach particular importance to the implementation of the Private Enterprise Development Program,” said the President. - At present, depending on the development of market relations, it is important to achieve a harmonious work of the sectors of the national economy and its non-state sector. It is necessary to systematically analyze and improve the legislation governing these issues.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that the time had come for the preparation of a law on public-private partnership. This kind of cooperation implies a mutually beneficial solution of socially significant tasks, co-financing large projects.
