US shale oil producers urge OPEC + to continue to reduce oil production - OPEC Secretary General

US shale oil producers benefited from OPEC + lower oil production, urging continued efforts to stabilize the oil market, OPEC secretary general Mohammed Barkindo told reporters on the sidelines of the Ceraweek conference organized by the IHS Market, Interfax reported.

Earlier, M. Barkindo met with representatives of this industry.

“Stability in the oil market is important not only for OPEC and non-OPEC producers, but also for players in the shale oil market. And they themselves said that they benefited from the OPEC + solution (to reduce oil production - IF),” he.

Therefore, M. Barkindo noted, shale oil producers called on OPEC + to continue efforts to stabilize the market.
