The preparations for the 10th International Gas Congress of Turkmenistan, which will be held on May 21-22 at the Avaza National Tourist Zone, were discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was held on Friday by digital video communication President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Special attention will be paid to issues related to the practical implementation of the initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan in the creation of international transport corridors and environmental protection, international cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
After listening to the report, the President emphasized that Turkmenistan has the world's largest natural gas reserves, which allows for an active energy policy in several strategic areas. Large-scale investment projects carried out by our country in the field of creating a multi-vector gas transportation infrastructure not only have important economic significance for the region, but also play a significant role in strengthening global energy security.
A striking example of this is the construction of the Central Asia-China gas pipeline, as well as the TAPI project, the implementation of which will help solve a wide range of issues of an economic, social and humanitarian nature. Great prospects for mutually beneficial international cooperation open up plans for the further intensive development of the gas processing industry, the creation of modern production facilities that produce gas chemical products that are in demand on world markets.
