SC “Turkmennebit” and PJSC “Tatneft” are planning to expand cooperation

The State Concern “Turkmennebit” and PJSC “Tatneft” are planning to conclude an additional agreement on enhanced oil recovery of the Goturdepe deposit. This was stated by the deputy head of the oil and gas projects implementation outside PJSC “Tatnef”t, Rafael Afletonov during the sixth meeting of the joint Turkmen- Tatarstan working group on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation, which was held in Kazan last week. The government delegation of Turkmenistan includes leaders and representatives of sectoral ministries, departments and large industrial enterprises of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Finance and Economy of the country, Batyr Bazarov.

“In the event of further expansion to the entire Goturdepe deposit upon signing supplementary agreement No. 9, the investment will amount to more than 200 million US dollars, more than 400 citizens of Turkmenistan will be admitted to the branch”, Afleonov said.

Tatneft began to apply its technologies in the wells of Turkmenistan in 2010 under a contract with the SC “Turkmennebit”. Over 7 years of contract execution, 63 overhauls were carried out at 40 wells, and pumping equipment was introduced at 32 wells. The maximum average daily oil increment was 150 tons per day. All wells are equipped with a debit metering device, automation equipment that allows monitoring the operation of underground equipment around the clock. Over 190 thousand tons of additional oil was produced at the expense of measures implemented under the contract.

“During the implementation of the contract, services and equipment were delivered to Turkmenistan in the amount of $ 32 million. Now Tatneft, within the framework of the additional agreement No. 8, signed in December 2018, has resumed its activities to increase oil recovery at the 4th and 5th oil fields of the Goturdepe oil field”, continued Afletonov.

The parties are also considering the possibility of establishing a production facility for repairing oilfield equipment on a mutually beneficial basis.

“We see a great potential for expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan”, Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan said.

In turn, the Deputy Chairman of the SC “Turkmennebit” Orazmurad Kurenov said that “Turkmennebit” is successfully cooperating with companies from Tatarstan and is interested in maintaining business relations. Companies from Tatarstan are actively participating in tenders for the provision of services. We invite oil and gas enterprises to participate in the industry exhibition-conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan" in October 2019. "

Continuing the theme of cooperation in the field of industry, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Mingaleev spoke about the agreement on the opening of the Trading House of Turkmenistan with the logistics center.

“Turkmenistan is also one of the largest consumers of KAMAZ vehicles in Central and Central Asia,” said project manager Turkmenistan, VTK KAMAZ Inc., Marat Garifullin. According to him, today the KAMAZ car park in our country has more than 9 thousand units. Almost the entire production line of KAMAZ trucks is represented in Turkmenistan.
