On October 8, a reporting meeting was held in the Central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, chaired by the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myratgeldy Meredov, which discussed the results of the work of industry enterprises over the nine months of 2019.
Turning to the consideration of agenda issues, the Vice-Chairman spoke about the results of an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on October 4, 2019 by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, where the results of the work of the national economy sectors for the first nine months of this year were summarized, as well as the priority tasks facing oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan.
Then, the Minister of State - Chairman of the State Concern “Turkmengas” M. Archaev made a report on the work performed for 9 months of 2019. Information about the production of natural gas, gas condensate, liquefied natural gas and other products of the industry was sounded. During the reporting period, the production of natural gas and gas condensate increased significantly. The production of high-quality polymer products is also growing, which is in great demand in the world market. Among foreign and domestic consumers, the products of the plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas, built in the Akhal province, are in great demand. During the meeting, information was also heard on the intensification of the construction of the transnational pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI).
Further, the acting chairman of the SC Turkmennebit, J. Orazov, reported on prospecting, drilling and putting into operation new ones, as well as increasing the productivity of existing wells. During the meeting, information was heard about increasing export volumes of a wide range of petroleum products, about ongoing work to develop new wells and increasing the productivity of the existing fields of Uzynada, Altiguy, Goturdepe.
Then the chairman of the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" Sh. Abdurakhmanov, the general director of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries B. Amanov, the general director of the CJSC "Nebitgazkhizmat" M. Achilov, as well as the heads of enterprises and institutions reported on the work performed for the indicated period.
During the meeting, information was heard about gasification of new settlements, supplying automobiles with high-quality environmentally friendly fuel, strengthening the industry’s raw material base, increasing oil and gas reserves and expanding geological exploration aimed at finding and opening new promising areas.
At the end of the meeting, the Vice-Chairman wished the participants success in implementing the “Program for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan for the Period until 2030”, noting the inherent importance of the oil and gas complex in the stable development of the country's economy.
