Gas Chemical complex in Kiyanly increases production

The GCC for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in the village of Kiyanly of the Balkan region makes a significant contribution to the dynamic development of the economy of our country. Since the beginning of this year, the plant has produced 67 thousand 981 tons of polyethylene of various types and 12 thousand 673 tons of polypropylene. The plant's products are highly regarded in world markets, the demand for which is constantly growing.

Production of polymers at GCC in Kiyanly is carried out on the basis of modern technologies, a distinctive feature of which is the deep purification of raw materials from all kinds of impurities according to unique schemes. At the same time, close attention is paid to compliance with environmental safety requirements, as well as effective work is carried out aimed at producing the necessary high-quality and competitive products.

Kiyanly GCC for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene from natural gas was put into operation in October 2018. This is the first enterprise of this profile in the region, which is designed for the annual processing of 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas and the production of 381 thousand tons of high-density polyethylene, 81 thousand tons of polypropylene and other products in demand in the domestic and foreign markets.

Construction of the GCC in Kiyanly was carried out under a contract with a consortium of companies "Hyundai Engineering".Ltd", " LG International Corp "(Republic of Korea) and "Toyo Engineering Corp" (Japan).

This project was awarded a special award of the organization "TXF" (UK) as one of the ten best projects in Europe and Eurasia.

 

In Turkmenistan, along with increased oil and gas production, strengthening resource base of the industry, the creation of multivariate system of transporting Turkmen energy resources to world markets, much attention is paid to the development of petrochemical, gas chemical and chemical industries.
