Representatives of the Caspian countries discuss in Ashgabat the safety of navigation on the Caspian Sea

In the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the next round of negotiations between representatives of the Caspian states on discussion of the draft of "The protocol on a cooperation in the field of safety of navigation on the Caspian Sea" passes. It is reported on the website of Foreign Ministry of the country.

Delegations from Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan take part in negotiations. The considered document is connected with accident prevention of ocean ships, protection of life and health of members of crews of vessel and passengers, ensuring safety of vehicles and the freights transported on them.

"During the two-day meeting starting on Wednesday, the parties will consider the questions concerning accomplishment of the established requirements, regulations and standards to a design, the equipment and supply of ocean ships, and also their exploitation and qualification of crew", - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan noted in the message.

The parties will also discuss questions of the organization of search and rescue efforts at the sea, establishing control in seaports, investigations of accidents, prevention of negative impact of external factors, including artificial sea constructions, dangerous for navigation, - underwater cables, pipelines, drilling platforms, other courts.
