Turkmenistan is interested in adoption of the Convention on the status of the Caspian Sea

The president of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov who is on the state visit in Astana expressed the hope that the Convention on the status of the Caspian Sea would be signed at the regular Summit of the Caspian states which would take place in Kazakhstan. 

During negotiations with the Kazakhstan colleague Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Turkmen leader emphasized that Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan were neighbors on the Caspian Sea, and the cooperation in a bilateral and multilateral format was an important factor of transformation of the Caspian Sea into space of the world, neighborliness, a consent and mutually advantageous partnership.
