In Ashgabat experts of the Caspian countries discuss the draft

agreement on the cooperation in the sphere of transport

In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan the second

meeting of authorized representatives of the Caspian states has

been helding. It's members arrived to the Turkmen capital for

discussion of the draft agreement on a cooperation in the sphere

of transport on the Caspian Sea. It is reported on the website of

Foreign Ministry of the country.

Heads and leading experts of the profile ministries and

departments of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and

Turkmenistan participate in the meeting, which is organized by

the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Public service of sea and river

transport and the State entity concerning the Caspian Sea in case

of the president of Turkmenistan.

The two-day forum assumes exchange of opinions and

discussion of expert evaluations of the draft agreement on the

cooperation of the Caspian states offered by the Turkmen side in

the field of transport. New regulations and rules are designed to

order cargo transfer and passengers between the Caspian states,

development of infrastructure, to approve accurate precepts of

law which would consider interests of all participants, the MFA is

noted in article.

Project development of this agreement providing creation of the

Caspian regional transport and logistic center is aimed at the

maximum use of capacity of the Caspian Sea that will allow to

open the prospects of expansion of trade and economic relations

both between the coastal countries, and in respect of their entry

into the world markets.

During the meeting special interest of the Caspian countries in

strengthening and expansion of mutually advantageous

partnership in the transport sphere, increase in a role of the

region in system of transport communications of Eurasia was

emphasized.
