Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain are interested in Tatarstan technologies in the field of heavy oil production. This was reported by Russian OGIA with reference to the press service of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
Minnikhanov held a meeting with the Chairman of the economic development Board of Bahrain Khalid al Rumaihi and chief Executive officer of the investment Fund Bahrain Mumtalakat holding Mahmoud al Kooheji. Bahrain noted the lack of experience in the region in the extraction and refining of heavy sulphurous oil.
Minnikhanov confirmed Tatarstan's readiness to cooperate on this issue, but noted the need to analyze the Geology of oil production by specialists.
"It all depends on the Geology of oil production. In Russia, one geological conditions, and you may have completely different ones. Therefore, such issues should be discussed by experts. We are ready to cooperate and are open for exchange of experience in these areas," - Minnikhanov said.
Bahrain Investment Fund actively cooperates with Russian direct investment Fund (RDIF). Established in 2006, Mumtalakat Investment Fund acts as a holding company, which aims to implement government initiatives for the efficient and transparent use of state assets not related to oil and gas.
