The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan predicts production amount on the field Kashagan in amount to 1,1 million tons in the current year, the head of department Kanat Bozumbayev reported, writes the Sputnik Kazakhstan agency.
"As of November 19 of the current year more than 450 thousand tons of oil has been extracted. Until the end of the year it is expected to extract 1 million 100 thousand tons of oil on this field" — Bozumbayev told during government hour in Mazhilis.
He reminded that oil extraction was resumed on the field Kashagan on September 28 this year, on October 14 from it the first batch of commodity oil was shipped to a pipeline system KazTransOil and CTC (Caspian Pipeline Consortium), and also supply of commodity gas to the gas pipeline system of JSC Intergas Central Asia was performed.
"On the first of November of the current year the Kashagan project came to the level of commercial production, or, more than 75 thousand barrels a day — the minister specified.
At the same time the forecast of production on this field on following, 2017, according to the Ministry of Energy, constitutes from 4 to 8 million tons of oil.
