According to preliminary data, in 2016 Lukoil extracted 92 million tons of oil – 8,6% less, than in the 2015th (100,7 million). Production of the company in the Russian Federation constituted 83,2 million tons against 85,6 million in a year before last, reports the Russian magazine "Oil and Gas Vertical".
According to Lukoil, positive factors of dynamics of production became last year's start of fields of V. Filanovsky (the Northern Caspian Sea) and Pyakyakhinsky (YaNAO), growth of development drilling in Western Siberia, increase in production in Timano-Pechora and the Cis-Urals.
Among the factors which caused reducing production abroad are sale in 2015 of a share in the Kazakhstan company "Kaspian Investment Resources Ltd.", and also decrease in amount of compensation oil according to the Western Kurna-2 project.
Perspective plans of Lukoil are in many respects connected with the Caspian projects. In 10 years the company intends to enclose in investigation and arrangement of the region of 500 billion rubles. It is about fields Shelly, Yu.Kuvykin, the third queue of the field of Filanovsky. In the current year it is planned to invest into the Caspian projects 47 billion rubles (in the 2015th 87 billion were invested).
In 2017 on two operated fields of the region - Yu. Korchagin and V. Filanovsky - Lukoil intends to extract 5,4 million tons of liquid hydrocarbons.
So far Lukoil found on the Caspian Sea 9 fields with C1+C2 recoverable reserves in 1,16 billion tons of conditional fuel. According to the company, thanks to successful prospecting drilling in the region the proved inventories of hydrocarbons according to international standards from 2010 to 2015 grew by 40%. Detection of oil-containing layer during drilling an exploration and appraisal well at Hazri Square (The central Caspian license area) became one of the last progress of LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft.
