The Azerbaijani state company SOCAR and the Russian Transneft have agreed on the volumes of oil transportation via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in 2018, reported Trend with reference to a source in SOCAR.
According to him, in 2018, SOCAR plans to export via the Russian direction about 1.5 million tons of oil, i.e. at the level of 2017.
"The proposal was agreed with the Russian side. In 2018 it is planned to pump about 1.5 million tons, but the final figure could be both higher and lower than planned. 320 thousand tons of the total volume already stated in the first quarter of the year," - said the Agency interlocutor.
The Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline transported oil produced by SOCAR independently, as well as with the land of fields, developed within joint ventures. The operator of the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline since 2008, is SOCAR.
The length of the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline is 1147 kilometers: the length of the Azerbaijan section - 231 km, Russia - 916 kilometers. The maximum power throughput of the pipeline is 105 thousand barrels per day.
By the end of 2017 it is expected that transportorul SOCAR via Baku-Novorossiysk 1.5 million tons of oil produced independently on land and offshore fields of the country.
