The Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation noted the possibility of building partnerships in the energy, transport and other fields

A wide range of issues on bilateral cooperation within the CIS and international organizations, including on the agenda of the 74th and 75th sessions of the UN General Assembly, as well as on foreign policy planning, were discussed at the foreign Ministry consultations held between the delegations of Turkmenistan and Russia. This is reported by the website of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan


The participants of the consultations highly appreciated the results of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in the CIS in 2019, discussed priority areas of cooperation in 2020.

The sides noted the potential for serial expansion of bilateral and regional partnerships, the level of cooperation in energy, economy, trade, transport, especially in light of the adoption of the Declaration on strategic economic partnership of the States-participants of CIS.
