Gazprom stopped the Power of Siberia gas pipeline to China for prevention until April 1

The main gas pipeline "Power of Siberia" has been stopped for two weeks for prevention, the information Department of PJSC Gazprom told reporters, INTERFAX reports.

"Today, at 5:00 am Moscow time, preventive work began on the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. They are scheduled to be completed by April 1", – the company said.

"The dates of the work have been agreed by Gazprom and CNPC. According to the agreement previously reached by the parties, planned maintenance of gas pipeline equipment and systems will be carried out twice a year: in spring and autumn", – the PC reminded.

Power of Siberia was launched on December 2, 2019. In 2019, it delivered 328 million cubic meters of gas - about 11 million cubic meters per day. Based on the value of the contract volume for 2020 (5 billion cubic meters) and the take-or-pay level in the contract of 85%, this year deliveries may fluctuate at the level of 11-14 million cubic meters per day.
