JV "Mawy kenar" is implementing an eco-project in the field of fuel and energy in the Balkan region

At the recent exhibition of achievements of the private sector of the economy of Turkmenistan held in Ashgabat, members of the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs presented their products and services that are in demand both within the country and in the foreign market. In particular, visitors of the exhibition could get acquainted with innovative projects of private companies in the field of ecology and oil and gas.

This topic was discussed at the stand of the joint venture "Mawy kenar", which is engaged in cleaning the soil contaminated with oil. Oil pollution is a threat to the flora and fauna of the region, oil and petroleum products also cause soil degradation. Taking into account the fact that natural self-cleaning of natural objects takes a long time, recultivation, or artificial restoration of the soil, becomes particularly relevant.

In February 2018, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree authorizing the state concern "Turkmennebit "to conclude a contract with the joint venture "Mawy kenar" to perform works on the territory of the Balkan region to clean up oil-contaminated land plots. The contract for the implementation of this environmental project is designed for 15 years.

The joint venture "Mawy kenar", founded in 2018, was established by the first Turkmen company "Gazyk", the canadian company "Benel Technical Services" and "Hazar Balyk".

At the exhibition, the company presented a model of using technologies using steam generators and diesel generators. The company uses new technologies to restore oil-contaminated land. According to the calculations of Mawy kenar specialists, in 5-10 years it will be possible to see blooming flora and fauna in the Balkan region.
