On May 29, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the White House in Washington, according to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry's website.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing Turkmen-American cooperation across a wide range of areas.
The interlocutors paid particular attention to interaction in trade, economics, energy, and transport and communications. In this context, the parties emphasized the importance of expanding mutually beneficial partnerships, including on energy security and diversifying energy supply routes.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction the recent intensification of bilateral political and diplomatic dialogue and emphasized the importance of regular contacts at the highest and highest levels, the Foreign Ministry noted.
