On June 6, a reporting meeting was held at the Central Building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan to review the work accomplished over the past five months of this year, which is being held under the motto "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan — Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses" The meeting discussed the objectives set for the country's oil and gas sector at the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, held on June 5 by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov using the digital system and dedicated to the performance of all sectors of the national economy for the first five months of this year.

Opening the reporting meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Guvanch Agajanov noted that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov places enormous trust in workers in the oil and gas industry and creates every opportunity for improvement and consistent development. The country is modernizing production facilities, introducing advanced equipment, technology, and innovative technologies, which has resulted in the industry facing important challenges.

During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chairman of the State Concern Turkmennebit Guvanch Agajanov, State Minister of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengas Maksat Babayev, Chairman of the State Corporation Turkmengeology Gurbangeldy Garlyev, as well as heads of associations, departments, institutions, and enterprises within the industry, presented reports on the work accomplished over the first five months of this year. The meeting highlighted the progress of construction on the main section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, Serhetabat-Herat, known as "Arkadagyň ak ýoly," the scale of the work being carried out, and the need to continue it in line with modern requirements. Participants also discussed in detail the instructions and tasks assigned to intensify work at the Galkynysh gas field, ensure the smooth operation of production facilities, explore and discover new fields, expand cooperation with foreign companies, and ensure a high-quality summer season at industry-affiliated recreation and health centers.

Vice-Chairman Guvanch Agajanov emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring of major projects being implemented in the country's oil and gas sector, the widespread implementation of digital capabilities in the industry, the proper implementation of production and development plans, and the efficient implementation of work while taking into account weather conditions. He outlined the important tasks facing the State Concerns Turkmengas, Turkmennebit, and the State Corporation Turkmengeology, and wished industry workers success in effectively addressing the oil and gas industry development goals set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
