On October 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in the Russian Federation for a two-day working visit to participate in a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, TDH reports .
As an associate member of the CIS, Turkmenistan takes an active position in matters of developing interstate cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats. Building relations with the Commonwealth member states on the basis of historically established traditions of friendship and good neighborliness, our country regularly participates in important meetings and forums within the CIS, and is also the venue for their holding. Thus, in May of this year, a meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council was held in Ashgabat, which was held in a businesslike manner and at a high organizational level.
The participation of the President of Turkmenistan in the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS on October 8 will be another confirmation of our country's commitment to equal constructive dialogue in the Commonwealth format, and its focus on further building up a fruitful partnership that meets the interests of common well-being.
