On August 26, the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a videoconference with the Chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Committee on Economic Cooperation Hiroyuki Tsubai, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website.
The sides discussed current issues of the bilateral cooperation in preparation for the next meeting of the Turkmenistan-Japan and Japan-Turkmenistan Committees on Economic Cooperation.
Current and prospective projects in areas such as the gas chemical industry, transportation, the circular economy, among others, were also discussed.
Agreements were reached on the main agenda items and work program for the Joint Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Committees and on the drawing-up of the bilateral documents planned for signing following the meeting.
