The Nebit-Gaz Newspaper office held a gala event to mark the 15th anniversary of its first issue. Representatives of the Council of Trade Union of Oil and Gas Workers of Turkmenistan and the Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit State Concerns and the editorial staff participated in the celebration.
The Nebit-Gaz Newspaper, established by a Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan, was first published on September 6, 2011. Over the years, this sectoral publication of the Türkmengaz State Concern has become a veritable chronicle of the country’s fuel and energy sector. Its pages regularly cover the implementation of large-scale international infrastructure projects, the construction of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline, the development of major gas and oil fields, the modernization of petrochemical plants and other large-scale projects in the fuel and energy sector initiated by the Hero-Arkadag and being successfully implemented today under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
In their speeches, the editor-in-chief of the Nebit-Gaz Newspaper, experienced journalists-mentors and representatives of the Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit State Concerns and the Council of the Trade Union of Oil and Gas Workers of Turkmenistan commemorated the progress made by the newspaper, established thanks to the efforts of the Hero-Arkadag. It was emphasized that the publication is actively developing its digital infrastructure. The transition to digital solutions and the creation of an online version have taken Nebit-Gaz to a new level and significantly expanded its readership both within the country and abroad.
The ceremony highlighted the contributions of veteran journalists, who have worked for the newspaper since its inception, its correspondents in the velayats, who promptly report on the achievements of enterprises on the ground, and the authors of photo reports from oil and gas facilities and of materials about industry leaders. Speakers focused on the publication’s development, the improvement of its material and technical base and the creation of a favorable environment for its employees.
Warmest memories were expressed for former correspondents of the newspaper Svetlana Gorzhiy, Hojaberdi Bayramov and Mammetgylych Kutiyev, whose tireless creative work left a lasting mark on the newspaper’s history and the hearts of its readers.
At the end of the event, on behalf of the Council of the Trade Union of Oil and Gas Workers of Turkmenistan and the Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit State Concerns, all employees of the Nebit-Gaz Newspaper were presented with valuable and memorable gifts.
