Results of the fuel and energy sector’s performance over the first nine months discussed at a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers

On October 2, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held via the digital system a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers to review the results of work carried out in the country during the first nine months of the current year, TDH reports.

During the sitting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on the results of activities undertaken from January till September 2026 and aimed at increasing oil and gas production and expanding supply routes to global markets.

As reported, during the specified period, the Türkmennebit State Concern fulfilled its oil production plan at a rate of 109.1 per cent, while the processing of oil at relevant refineries reached 106.8 per cent of the target.

Production targets were exceeded for gasoline (119.3 per cent), diesel fuel (114.7 per cent), lubricating oils (100 per cent) and liquefied gas (112 per cent), while the extraction of natural and associated gas reached 109.1 per cent of the plan.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of consistently improving the activities of the oil and gas sector and manufacturing high-quality products by utilizing the full capacity of the complex’s enterprises. The Head of State also instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to continue efforts to discover new oil and gas fields.
