The Dragon Oil Company will act as a diamond sponsor of the 31st International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – OGT 2026” to be held in Ashgabat on October 21-23, according to the organizers of the forthcoming Forum.
The Company will share with the participants its long-term experience in offshore mining and the development of production infrastructure in Turkmenistan, which is important for discussing the prospects for the development of the Caspian Sea.
Dragon Oil’s activities in Turkmenistan demonstrate the long-term nature of the development of offshore oil and gas resources. Having started work on the Çeleken contractual territory in 2000, the Company established a production base at the Jeýtun and Jygalybeg fields, built the necessary infrastructure and continued exploration near existing facilities.
An important event for the operations of Dragon Oil in Turkmenistan was the extension of the production sharing agreement for the Çeleken contractual territory for ten years, until 2035. For the operator of an offshore project, this creates the basis for planning production, exploration, infrastructure development and technology implementation for years to come.
The prospects for the development of offshore fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea will be one of the topics of the OGT 2026 Forum. The conference program covers investment opportunities on the shelf, geological exploration, the conduct and interpreting of seismic research, marine infrastructure, drilling technologies, marine logistics and international cooperation.
The inclusion of these issues in the Forum’s program reflects the importance of the Caspian Sea for the further development of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry.
The organizers of the 31st International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – OGT 2026” are the Türkmengaz and Türkmennebit State Concerns and the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation in partnership with the Turkmen Energy Forum Economic Association.
