The Seydi oil refinery, located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, completed 2023 with high performance. The enterprise processed 489 thousand 684 tons of crude oil, which is 10.7% more than planned.
Over the past year, the SOR produced 413 thousand tons of finished products, fulfilling the annual plan by 100.2%. Such good results were made possible thanks to the modernization of production and the well-coordinated work of the plant team. The company is actively introducing modern equipment, expanding the range and improving the quality of its products.
Of the products produced, over 230 thousand 390 tons are A-95, A-92 and A-80 gasoline. About 123 thousand 680 tons are diesel fuel. During January-December 2023, the plant also produced 30 thousand 65 tons of heavy vacuum gas oil, 5 thousand 375 tons of fuel oil and 22 thousand 680 tons of road bitumen, the publication notes.
Some of the SOR products are sold on the domestic market, some are exported to Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Georgia and the United Arab Emirates. The export of high-quality petroleum products makes a significant contribution to strengthening the economy of Turkmenistan and contributes to the development of international cooperation.
The Seydi Oil Refinery is one of the largest industrial enterprises in Turkmenistan.
In 2015, a plant for the production of road bitumen with an annual capacity of 37 thousand 200 tons was built at the SNPZ. In 2017, the SOR also launched a catalytic reforming unit with an annual capacity of 500 thousand tons of high-octane gasoline.
