The Delegation of Turkmenistan discussed in the US State Department Key vectors of cooperation

Key vectors of bilateral relations were discussed during the negotiations of the delegation of Turkmenistan in the US State Department with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Central Asia, ambassador J. Pommersheim, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports. Cooperation in 2023,” said the Foreign Ministry.

The interlocutors positively assessed the format of the Turkmen-American political consultations to discuss issues of mutual interest and coordination of joint actions to develop bilateral relations. In this regard, attention was paid to the organizational issues of the upcoming political consultations that are planned for 2024.

The Turkmen delegation also met with the US State Department Coordinator for the C5+1 Secretariat K.Setola, which highly appreciated the efforts of Turkmenistan in this format to develop an action plan for the development of a mutually beneficial partnership between the United States and the Central Asian region.

 In this context, the diplomats gave a positive assessment of the activities of the C5+1 working groups on safety, economics, energy and the environment, which provide an opportunity to study new approaches and ideas to expand cooperation.
