President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has put forward new international initiatives under the auspices of the UN in the transport sector for landlocked countries. The head of state spoke about this in a video message to the participants of the International Conference at the level of ministers of transport of developing countries that do not have access to the sea, which opened on August 15 in the «Avaza» National Tourist Zone on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea.

The future belongs to the combined transport system. This was stated by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in his video address to the participants of the International Conference of Ministers of Transport of Landlocked Developing Countries, which opened on Monday at the Congress Center of the «Avaza» National Tourist Zone on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea.

Last week, 9 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

This morning, the International Conference at the level of ministers of transport of developing countries that do not have access to the sea in a hybrid format began its work at the Congress Center of the «Avaza» National Tourist Zone.

Last Friday, August 12, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on vacation on the Caspian coast, held an off-site meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which the results of the country's economic development for seven months of 2022 were summed up. Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov reported on the results of the oil and gas complex for this period.

Oil prices are falling during the trading session on Friday after a steady increase in the previous trading session, Interfax reports.

 On October 26-27, 2022, Ashgabat will host the XXVII International Conference «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan -2022».  The organizers of the forum are the State Concerns «Turkmengas», «Turkmennebit» and the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» in partnership with the company «Turkmen Forum» with the support of the British company GaffneyCline, according to the website of the organizers.

Delegations from more than 30 states and heads of more than 30 international and specialized organizations confirmed their participation in the forthcoming Transport Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries in the city of Turkmenbashi on August 15-16, which is convened on the initiative of Turkmenistan under the auspices of the UN. This is reported by the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The ceremony of laying a new automobile bridge across the Garabogazgol Bay along the Turkmenbashi–Garabogaz–Kazakhstan border highway took place on August 8, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on vacation. This is a significant event both in terms of the implementation of the progressive foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan and of the development of the economy of our country in a new historical era.

Ashgabat will host the International Exhibition and Conference «Construction, Industry and Energy of Turkmenistan – 2022» on August 6-7. The forum is dedicated to the Day of Construction and Industrial Complex Workers.
