The strategy, implemented in the country’s fuel and energy complex during the years of independence, is aimed at modernizing and diversifying the industry’s structure, increasing the capacity of the gas production and processing sector, developing the gas and petrochemical industry and producing competitive goods that are in great demand in the world market.
Most of Turkmenistan’s territory is considered oil and gas-bearing. The high level of gas resources confirms that the country has a potential to increase the production and processing of “blue fuel,” supplying foreign and domestic consumers for many years.
