A conference dedicated to the commissioning of a new gas compressor station at the “Malay” gas field in the Lebap region was held in the Central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan.
The event was opened by the Vice Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Myratgeldi Meredov.
The conference was attended by the head of the department of IOGU ( International oil and gas university) Professor N. Suvkhanov, the chief editor of the newspaper "Oil and Gas" U. Ussaev, as well as other representatives of the oil and gas sector of our country.
As the speakers emphasized, the commissioning of the gas compressor station will further expand the possibilities of exporting natural gas from Turkmenistan to international markets. The energy policy of Turkmenistan, which has large reserves of hydrocarbon resources, is aimed at the comprehensive development of the oil and gas complex and its effective integration into the world energy system.
It was also noted that the operation of this gas compressor station will increase the export supplies of Turkmen natural gas. The People's Republic of China is currently the largest importer of Turkmen natural gas.
During the event, a concert of masters of arts, pop performers, creative teams of the cultural center of the SC "Turkmengas" took place.
