High horizons of suppliers of water for the oil and gas sector

The Balkanabat Water Supply Directorate of the Nebitgazburawlaýyş Trust is responsible for providing the necessary volume of industrial and drinking water to enterprises of the Türkmennebit State Concern engaged in hydrocarbon extraction, drilling, well overhaul and reservoir pressure maintenance. Thanks to their tireless efforts, the volume of water, coming from 49 group wells operating in the vicinity of the underground lake Yasga and being taken by powerful pumps from the Caspian Sea, is systematically increasing. Over the past period of the year, which is being held under the motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”, the Directorate has produced over 1 million 292 thousand cubic meters of drinking and industrial water, with the production growth rate increasing by 102 per cent. This indicates that, compared to the same period last year, nearly 16 thousand 350 cubic meters more of water were delivered to consumers. The renovation and repair of water pipelines under the Directorate’s supervision have a positive impact on achieving high results.

To further improve water supply, repair and replacement work on water lines under the Directorate’s control is currently underway. With the close support of construction workers from the Ýöritegurluşykgurnama Directorate of the Nebitgazçykaryş Trust of the Turkmennebit State Concern, a complete replacement of 330 meters of water pipelines 900 mm in diameter and 800 meters of water pipelines 720 mm in diameter was completed on the Yasga–Balkanabat section. Water pipelines 225 mm in diameter were also renovated on the Jebel–Goturdepe and Balkanabat–Uzboy sections. Additionally, repairs were carried out on 16.5 kilometers of internal water supply networks at the Yasga water field.
