The International Energy Agency (IEA) for the first time in 2023 lowered the forecast for oil demand in the world for 2023 by 170 thousand barrels per day. This follows from the July report of the agency.
“The demand for oil in the world in 2023 will increase by 2.2 million barrels per day, up to 102.1 million barrels per day,” the report says. This is 170 thousand barrels per day less than predicted in the June report.
