The head of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan arrived in Kazakhstan to participate in the 10th OTS summit

 Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived on Friday on a working visit to Kazakhstan to participate in the 10th summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), TDH reports.

 At the Astana International Airport named after Nursultan Nazarbayev, the head of the People's Council of Turkmenistan was met by Kazakh officials and members of the Turkmen government delegation.

 Later, a meeting took place between the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.  The parties discussed the development of Turkmen-Kazakh mutually beneficial cooperation and fruitful interaction in the space of the Organization of Turkic States in various fields.

 During the meeting, special attention was paid to expanding trade, economic, transport, logistics, cultural and humanitarian partnerships

 Then Hero-Arkadag took part in the 10th summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which opened in Astana.  Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will voice at the summit Ashgabat’s vision of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the space of the Organization of Turkic States.

 In November 2021, Turkmenistan joined the UTC as an observer and work is currently underway to join the Turkmen side to the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic States.

 Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is a member of the Council of Elders of the OTS and actively participates in the work of this structure.
