Recently, a sports competition called "Turkmenistan - a country of health and inspiration" was held among fuel and energy workers. It was organized by the Council of Trade Unions of Oil and Gas Workers of Turkmenistan together with the Department of Food Provision for Workers and Services of the State Concern «Turkmengas». In the competitions among men and women, which took place on the sports grounds of the residential complex of the oil and gas industry, athletes and young sports enthusiasts competed in table tennis, chess, checkers, duzum, tug-of-war, weight lifting and darts.
The competitions were held in an atmosphere of tension and rivalry, but this did not prevent the participants from having fun and showing their athletic acumen. Among men, athletes of the State Concern "Turkmengas" distinguished themselves in table tennis, chess and weightlifting competitions, athletes of the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" showed themselves in checkers, duzum and darts, and representatives of the State Concern "Turkmennebit" distinguished themselves in tug-of-war and the competition "yaglyga tovusmak".
In the competition among women, athletes of the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" demonstrated the highest level of training and retained their leadership, taking first place in all of the above sports. All winners were awarded certificates and gifts by the organizers.
In a short interview, one of the winners, representing the State Concern "Turkmengas", Meylis Annashov, said at the closing ceremony of the competition: "I participated in the sports competition in table tennis. I managed to defeat my rivals. As a result, I was awarded 1st place. I have been involved in sports consistently for several years in a row. We have all the conditions and opportunities to engage in any kind of sports. I also play for the hockey club "Oguzhan" of the "Turkmengazavtomatika" department of the State Concern "Turkmengas". We express our deep gratitude to our esteemed President, who creates all the conditions for youth to engage in sports".
