The Iranian President and the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan discussed prospects for expanding cooperation

On May 20, as part of the working visit of the Turkmen delegation to Iran, a meeting was held in Tehran between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, the Foreign Ministry of our country reports.

During the meeting, current issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in the political and diplomatic, trade and economic, transport, energy, investment, cultural and environmental spheres.

The Iranian President emphasized that strengthening cooperation, including the implementation of joint investment projects, meets the interests of the two friendly peoples and helps ensure their future well-being, stability and security.

The parties particularly noted the high level of interaction in the field of transport and transit, as well as the importance of intensifying cooperation within the framework of international and regional initiatives.

The interlocutors confirmed their mutual readiness to further expand the strategic partnership.
