The Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries starts in Avaza

On August 3, a ceremony of raising the flags of Turkmenistan and the UN was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the occasion of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports (https://www.mfa.gov.tm/ru/news/5425).

This ceremony became an expression of the importance of the upcoming global forum, which is held once every ten years and is dedicated to the comprehensive development of landlocked developing countries.

The flag raising ceremony was held with the participation of Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and UN Under-Secretary-General, High Representative for the Least Developed, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island States Rabab Fatima.

Turkmenistan, with great responsibility, carried out all the necessary preparatory measures for the successful holding of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in the country.

This significant event serves as evidence that Turkmenistan views the United Nations as a universal international platform, endowed with a mandate from the world community on issues of preserving and strengthening international peace and security, ensuring sustainable development of all states and peoples.
