Turkmenistan celebrated the 34th anniversary of Independence Day

On September 27, Turkmenistan celebrated the significant date – Independence Day. Early in the morning, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov laid flowers at the Independence Monument and reviewed the parade dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the country's independence, TDH reports.

Participating in the celebrations were members of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), the Majlis (Mejlis), members of the government, heads of ministries and agencies, representatives of military and law enforcement agencies, diplomatic missions and international organizations, honorary elders, youth, and guests of the capital.

The festivities opened with a military parade, demonstrating the country's powerful defensive potential, the high patriotic spirit, professionalism, and excellent training of Turkmen military personnel.

The parade then continued with a large civilian march. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was presented with a graceful Akhal-Teke horse, Zaman. This was followed by a vibrant performance by Turkmen riders from the Galkynyah National Equestrian Games Group.

Festively decorated floats representing all five regions of the country, depicting historical and architectural monuments and modern landmarks, paraded across the square.

Individual floats represented various sectors of the economy: athletes from the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, workers in education, healthcare, construction and architecture, industry, energy, textile and carpet industries, transportation and communications, the oil and gas industry, the financial and economic sector, and agriculture.

Representatives of the cultural sector concluded the procession. The celebration concluded with a vibrant vocal and choreographic performance by singers and dance groups from the five regions, celebrating the achievements of Turkmenistan.

The celebrations concluded with a grand concert on the square in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Center, featuring renowned artists, folklore groups, and dance troupes. The evening concluded with a magnificent fireworks display, illuminating the Ashgabat sky with thousands of multicolored lights.

On Sunday, September 28, in honor of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, celebrations were held at the modernized Ashgabat Equestrian Center, attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
