The fourth phase of development of the Galkynysh gas field will begin in the coming days. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced this during a working visit to the Mary region, Orient news agency reported on April 9.
The head of state made this announcement while speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for a new modern village in the Yoloten etrap of the Mary region.
The new village project is impressive in its scale: the development area is over 800 hectares, and the housing stock includes 4,500 comfortable homes designed to accommodate over 22,500 people. The village will include administrative buildings, secondary schools and kindergartens, health centers, a community center and a mosque, as well as modern utilities and communications.
The head of state emphasized that providing citizens with affordable and comfortable housing is an absolute priority of state policy. The construction of a new village in the Iolotan district is being carried out as part of the "National Program for Improving the Social and Living Conditions of the Population through 2028." This project will join the model villages of "Döwletli mekan", "Bagtly zamana" and "Bitaraplyk", which opened last year.
"The President noted that the development of the Mary velayat is not limited to housing construction. The region is demonstrating strong industrial growth, and in the coming days, another historically significant project will be launched—the fourth phase of development of the Galkynysh gas field," Orient reports.
