Scientific Horizons of the Oil and Gas Industry

The Natural Gas Research Institute (NGRI) of the State Concern Turkmengas held a scientific and practical conference entitled "Scientific Foundations of Oil and Gas Industry Development." Organized by the NRI's primary trade union in honor of Science Day, the event brought together leading scientists, experienced specialists, and young professionals from the industry.

The conference featured presentations, research results, analytical findings, opinions, and proposals from the institute's specialists regarding current and past work in the gas, oil, and geological sectors. In particular, the speakers discussed in detail their ongoing research projects. The results of a seismic study of the Galkynysh gas field structure were presented, as well as a material balance analysis of gas and gas condensate fields using Oilfield Manager (OFM) software, as well as options for the beneficial use of carbon dioxide contained in natural gas.

Additionally, the conference discussed the study of the physical and mechanical properties of metals using ultrasonic and magnetic methods, and the development of methods for developing gas wells at a late stage of production. The scientific and practical conference included a question-and-answer session between experienced mentors and young specialists. The conference then continued in several specialized sections.

At the end of the event, the organizers presented Certificates of Honor and commemorative gifts to  NGRI employees who distinguished themselves with their tireless and exemplary work.
