Turkmenistan and China strengthen cooperation in energy education

On June 22, professional development courses for faculty from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas began at the China University of Petroleum in Beijing. The educational program is organized as part of the joint Turkmen-Chinese Energy Training Center, according to the website "Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

Representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People's Republic of China, the leadership and faculty of the China University of Petroleum, and a delegation from the Turkmen university attended the opening ceremony.

The event participants noted the high level of strategic partnership between Turkmenistan and China, particularly in education, science, and training specialists for the oil and gas industry.

The important role of the Lu Ban Workshop, opened in April of this year as part of the development of bilateral cooperation in education, was also emphasized.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further improving the quality of specialized education, expanding academic exchange, and implementing joint educational projects between the two countries' leading oil and gas universities.

Following the official meeting, the Turkmen delegation and diplomats met with students from the China University of Petroleum, during which Turkmenistan's foreign policy priorities and the significance of the 2026 motto were presented.
