Turkmenistan's delegation participates in the 2026 OPEC Fund Development Forum in Vienna

A Turkmen delegation led by Rahymberdi Jepbarov, Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, is participating in the 2026 OPEC Fund Development Forum, which is taking place in Vienna, the Turkmenistan International Information Center reported on June 24.

The forum, organized under the motto "Transitions that Expand Opportunities for Tomorrow," brought together representatives of governments, international development institutions, and businesses from around the world. This year, the event coincides with the 50th anniversary of the OPEC Fund for International Development.

During the visit, the Turkmen delegation met with Dr. Abdulhamid Alkhalifa, President of the OPEC Fund for International Development; Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development; and Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund.

The Turkmen delegation's participation in the forum reflects the country's ongoing engagement with international financial and development institutions.

The OPEC Fund for International Development is a multilateral financial institution established in 1976 by the member states of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). Its primary goal is to stimulate socioeconomic development in non-OPEC countries.
