On June 29, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Jeong Won-ju, Chairman of the Board of Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., who was visiting our country, TDH reports.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the meetings Jeong Won-ju will hold during his visit to our country will be successful and will contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the conversation, it was noted that Turkmenistan highly values its friendly and mutually beneficial relations with the Republic of Korea. This is clearly demonstrated by the effective operations of major Korean companies in various sectors of our country, primarily in the oil and gas and chemical industries.
In this regard, the head of state noted that a constructive partnership has been established between Turkmenistan and Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. The company is currently implementing a project to build a mineral fertilizer production complex at a chemical plant in Turkmenabat, Lebap region. As emphasized, this project will not only supply the domestic market with domestic chemical products but also expand exports.
In turn, the businessman expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the trust placed in him and the conditions created for effective work, emphasizing that it is a great honor for the company he leads to contribute to the economic development of our country.
